BODY WORLDS & The Cycle of Life: January 10 until April 12, 2026
Over 57 million people worldwide have already visited the exhibition. Starting January 9, 2026, plastinator Dr. Gunther von Hagens and curator Dr. Angelina Whalley will present their current exhibition in Wroclaw on the human body living through time, from conception to old age: BODY WORLDS & The Cycle of Life
A variety of unique specimens, including many whole-body plastinates, guide us through the human body and explain the individual organ functions and common diseases in an easy-to-understand way. The focus is on the human body and its changes over – from infancy, and as it changes, grows, matures, peaks, and finally, wanes.
BODY WORLDS provides comprehensive preventive medical education. The combination of the diverse passions of both physicians has resulted in a unique exhibition that invites us all to reflect on and engage in depth with the human body.
BODY WORLDS vividly shows what each of us can do to maintain our health and a high quality of life for as long as possible. There are few events that change the way we see ourselves so profoundly.
All of the specimens shown in the exhibition are real. They come from people who, during their lifetime, decided that their bodies should be made available after their death for the education of doctors and interested laypeople.
