BODY WORLDS & The Cycle of Life extended until December 8, 2024
The exhibition BODY WORLDS (KÖRPERWELTEN in German) shows the body over time how it develops, matures and grows, reaches its climax and finally weakens. The "Cycle of Life" features a special presentation on the human life cycle and ageing – from prenatal development and infancy to youth, adulthood and old age. It presents ageing in the context of the human life cycle, as a natural progression from the spark of life at conception to living with inspiration into later years. Incredible feats and cautionary tales about age related matters, as well as the latest findings in longevity research are staged alongside real human specimens preserved through plastination.
Specimens on display stem from the Institute for Plastination’s body donation program and are preserved through plastination, a remarkable scientific process invented by pioneering anatomist Dr. Gunther von Hagens.

If an accompanying person is registered, they have free admission to the exhibition.
**Students in class: Applies to general education schools, vocational schools and professional schools.
Free admission: teachers and trainee teachers (with proof), registered companions of people with disabilities (Marking B in the disability pass), body donors of the Institute for Plastination, children under 7 accompanied by a parent or guardian, representatives of the press. The free ticket will be handed out at the box office.

Time-slot tickets
To make the visit as pleasant as possible, time slot tickets are offered. By booking a time window ticket, access to the exhibition is possible within the booked time window. The length of stay is unlimited. We recommend buying tickets in advance, as waiting times or fully booked timeslots may occur under certain circumstances with large numbers of visitors.

Via the A1, exit K-Lövenich, onto Aachener Straße in the direction of the city centre.
Via the A57, exit K-Ehrenfeld, direction Ehrenfeld.
Via the A3, exit K-Zentrum/-Deutz (Lanxess Arena), follow the B55a, via Zoobrücke, Innere Kanalstraße, onto Aachener Straße.
Parking
There is no direct car parking at the exhibition. There are car parks in the surrounding area. The nearest car park is “Bezirksrathaus Lindenthal” at Oskar-Jäger-Straße 3 (Mon–Fri: 7am–8pm).
P+R Parkhaus Köln-Müngersdorf
Car park “Parkhaus Stadion (P2)” am Müngersdorfer Stadion. Von der Haltestelle Köln RheinEnergieSTADION mit der Linie 1 in 10 Minuten bis Aachener Str./Gürtel.
Kostenlose Nutzung der P+R Anlage bis zu 24 Stunden lang, mit einem gültigen ÖPNV-Ticket jeglicher Art. Bei Veranstaltungen (z.B. Konzerte, Fußballspiele etc.) wird eine Gebühr von 2,50 Euro erhoben.

Car park “Parkhaus Stadion (P2)” at the Müngersdorf stadium. From the Köln RheinEnergieSTADION stop, take Tram 1 to Aachener Str./Gürtel in 10 minutes.
